First, we assure you our replicas on canvas are nothing like ordinary prints.  Even the best paper print you buy does in no way reflect the canvas texture, the dimension, the depth of color or the subtle brush strokes of an original oil painting.  Ink on paper simply cannot faithfully represent oil on canvas.

 

Although we don’t reveal the details of our proprietary process, here is an indication of the Key steps involved:

 

Our skilled technicians actually impregnate an exactingly prepared color image of the original oil painting with a chemical preparation similar to the artist’s paint.  Craftsmen then hand-apply this image to canvas.  We use no “mass production” technology in this step.  Unlike some processes that use copy-machine techniques to print images on canvas in large volumes, our Artisans work by hand, one piece at a time.

Once the image is cured, our artists carefully apply almost imperceptible brush strokes to further enhance the authenticity of the replica.  When the brush strokes have dried, we apply a protective varnish, just as an artist varnishes an original painting.
